Licensed Electrical Engineer with min 6 years of experience in design of municipal water, wastewater and stormwater facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

This challenging position involves working with a team of specialized electrical, instrumentation, and automation engineers and designers focused on design, construction management, SCADA programming, and facility commissioning of regional water facilities.

Responsibilities will include working closely with other engineers and designers in the planning and design of various water facility projects. Candidates will be responsible for design of power distribution systems, motor control centers, instrumentation and controls, SCADA and automation, telemetry and communications, standby power and automatic transfer systems, and development of load and fault current calculations, power flow models, and short circuit analysis.

The candidate will be required to manage and oversee the development of technical plans and specifications, ensure NEC code compliance, routinely coordinate with client and other disciplines in support of project completion, and mentor graduate electrical engineers and design staff.

Candidate Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering with P.E. registration in Texas
  • Must possess a solid background in electrical power distribution and control systems design and a clear understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Minimum 6 years of recent experience in municipal water and wastewater facilities
  • Experience performing electrical short-circuit analysis and coordination studies using ETAP modeling software
  • Experience in maritime, mass transit, and/or aviation is a plus
